Last week, YouTube announced an update to its blur tool.
This is a tool that lets you blur out certain portions inside your video using YouTube Studio. And the announcement is: “Now in Studio, you can blur faces, people, license plates, logos, etc, all without losing views. With improved blurring features, you’re in control. With both face-blur and custom blur, you are able to modify the duration, position, and size of the blur”.
This tool has been around for a while within YouTube, but now they’ve made significant updates to it and you can use the oval shape or rectangular shape to blur out certain parts of the video.
I thought it might be useful for certain ministries that create sensitive content or content in which you want to blur out certain portions of your video. So do pass this on to your video team and see if they like to use it.
