Hello and welcome to this week’s edition of the Word @ Work show with me Natchi Lazarus. This is the show where we talk about workplace principles from the Bible for working professionals and business owners.
This week, I want to specifically talk about creativity and wisdom coming from above. We are living in very interesting times where many of our work is… many aspects of our work has completely changed like we’ve been talking about in the last few weeks. Our work style has changed, if you’re a business owner, your revenue model has changed, your business has been impacted, the way we do things has completely changed.
One thing that can really, really make a big difference in a point of time like this is having wisdom that God gives and getting creative ideas to serve the people that you’re called to serve. So I just want to stress on that. I slightly touched on that last week, but this week I want to really stress on that and go a little deeper and tell you the importance of asking God for that divine wisdom. Right? Because sometimes you don’t know the answers. Look I, my work is with churches, ministries and nonprofits. I help them with the digital and social media. And many times when I think of some challenges that we are facing, all of this is new. You know, I’ve never been in a situation like this where nobody is sitting in front of a church or a ministry and how do we minister to them?
Many ministries have restrictions, they have a certain set of problems that we need to work through, there are people that you needed to talk to, there are things that needs to be worked around. So there are lots of moving pieces that you need to put together. I’ve never been in the situation. So many times I find myself going to the throne of God and asking every day, “Lord, give me creativity. Give me creative solutions for these problems. Give me ideas, give me wisdom. For me to navigate and move through the situation so that I can be a blessing to the people that you’ve called me to serve, because they are in turn a blessing to 100s of 1000s of people.
Some of the people I work with are high impact ministries and therefore I go and ask for this prayer. And that is what I wanted to share with you today. What are you doing? Who are you serving? Keep that in mind and go on a daily basis if need be before you start your work. Go on a daily business in front of God and ask him for ‘unique wisdom’, asking for ‘unique creativity and solutions’ to some of the problems that you are facing, your stakeholders or your customers or your employers or organizations that you serve, they are facing and ask God to give you those solutions. And I tell you what, if you ask, you will receive.
I’ve always seen that God is a faithful God. He’ll always give you the answers to those problems. You just have to go before him. And take that time to humble yourself and ask God to guide you. So I just want to encourage you today to go in front of God and ask him for that extraordinary wisdom.
And I pray that God will give you that wisdom, and you will have one of the most creative times of your entire career that you come up with incredible solutions that will lift you up, and not only lift you up, but also make you a blessing to your organization and the people around you. All right, so go ahead and pray that prayer. God bless you. I’ll see you next week with another thought. Bye.
