Welcome to the Connected Church News!
This news item is part of the weekly top 5 news bulletin (from Week 4, Jun 22) specially packaged for leaders of Nonprofits, Churches, and Faith-based Social Ventures.

WhatsApp users can now safely migrate their WhatsApp data from an Android phone to an Apple iOS device. Earlier, the feature to go from an Apple to an Android device was released. We reported that right here in this news bulletin a while ago. Now they have released it in the reverse direction. This announcement is important because, as you know, as ministries, we may have to constantly change devices because your WhatsApp account may be handled by a volunteer or a staff member, and you might want to constantly change devices. So, this feature could be useful. The announcement came from the CEO, Mark Zuckerberg on his Facebook post, where he said, “we are bringing the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos and voice messages between Android and iPhone”. Very useful.
