Hello there! I am Natchi Lazarus. Today I wanted to share with you a thought from my book. One of the things I talk about in the book, in The Connected Church book, is the idea of integration.
Integration is one of the parts of the framework that I generally use for my consulting work with churches and ministries. And this is one of the chapters in the book where I talk about the importance of looking at every aspect of your ministry and making sure that they are all covered when you create a digital and social media plan. Because most of the time, I see ministries lose sight of certain small things when it comes to digital. And at least it was okay to some extent earlier. But now with COVID-19 and the situation that we’re all in as a church, it is so important for you not to lose sight of every single department, or a ministry division, or activity, or a vision that your ministry has.
For example, children’s ministry, small groups, prayer ministry or any other type of ministry that your church or your ministry is involved in. Everything can be done digitally. Now that is what I call as ‘Integration’.
It’s just a matter of you sitting down and thinking how to integrate it. When I wrote the book, COVID was not there. I wrote it for a normal world. But even at that time, I said, “Do not miss any aspect of your church. It needs to have the digital component built into it”. Even in that circumstance. But in this circumstances, this is when it becomes even more crucial. So just make sure you think of all the different areas of your ministry and ensure that all of them come into your digital plan.
When you create a digital plan, consider every aspect of your ministry, and that is what we call the ‘act of integration’ of all ministries into your digital plan. So integrate your digital plan very tightly, so that you can be much more effective when you minister to people. God bless you.
If you have any questions related to digital social media, or integration, send it to me. I’ll be very happy to help you and answer those questions. God bless you. Bye.
