Welcome to The Connected Church news!

Our next big news of this week is from Pinterest. Last week, Pinterest released details about its new interesting feature called Story Pins.

Yes, now, officially, Pinterest has Stories. But hold on, because this is not like other Stories. If you look at Instagram Stories or Facebook Stories, that is typically ephemeral, 24-hour, vanishing content. You put something on it and that is there only for a day, and then it’s gone. But here, it’s a different story. Pinterest says these are “saveable, actionable, and long-lasting” content, so it’s not going to disappear. Pinterest uses this more as a way for the creators, the people who create the pins to connect with their audience by showcasing their backstage, etc. So as a ministry, if you use Pinterest, then this is a great way for you to showcase what your ministry or nonprofit does.
