Welcome to The Connected Church news!
This news is from Messenger.
Our next news is about Facebook Messenger. If you’re using Messenger for ministry, then this is something you want to pay attention to because there is a new feature that was released earlier this week called ‘Watch Together’.
That could be a very important tool for small groups ministry. Because the announcement says that with this feature people can watch a video together with friends or family. Messenger use has been growing rapidly, according to Facebook, 150 million video calls are started every day and 200 million videos are sent on Messenger every day! It’s very easy to start. All you have to do is start a messenger video call or create a messenger room and then swipe up to access the menu and select ‘watch together’. There you will be suggested videos. You can search for videos. Then watch. Up to 8 people can watch on a Messenger video call and up to 50 people in Messenger Rooms. Opens up lots of opportunities for small groups ministry. Do check it out.
