Last week, Google Maps team announced that they are releasing 3 new features for Apple iPhone users. Usually Google Maps’ features are all fully packed inside Android, and Apple users usually get a little bit of a less functionality. But now Google seems to want to bridge that gap and bring more features in iOS, which is great.

These 3 features are: now you can send your live-location using iMessage. Below iMessage, if you see, there are some icons, if you choose Google Maps from there, you can send a live location on iMessage when you’re chatting with friends. The second feature is widgets. You can add widgets, which is a popular feature after iOS 14. And also dark mode, which can be especially useful when you’re driving at night. Google team also gives some additional tips for using maps on Apple devices. I will link to these details in the show notes, do have a look.
