Welcome to The Connected Church news!
Our final news of this week is from Facebook.
Last week, Facebook CEO announced that they are launching this new platform called Bulletin, which is meant to help independent writers, and authors, and influencers connect with their community using all the useful Facebook tools; like Facebook Groups and Facebook Live Audio, and Podcast, and all the other features that Facebook wants to bring in for no fees!
Basically, if you see, there are other services that offer similar platforms like SubStack and Revue. But the unique thing about Facebook is: Facebook is saying that they do not take any cut out of the whole platform, and all the revenue that is generated by the creator. Facebook also says that it will give complete ‘editorial independence’ to the creator while they use this platform. And the data is also going to be completely owned by the creator, the list of subscribers, etc. So a very interesting route taken by Facebook to bring in influencers, and help them build a community on their platform. So could be something for you to watch out for if you wanted to build something for your ministry on such a platform.
