Meta released new optimization tools and ad formats inside their advantage suite. Whenever you see the name Advantage or Advantage+ in Meta, note that this is about AI automating things for you. This is going to be the way advertising is done on social media in the days to come. First big part of this announcement is the ‘Advantage+ Creative Optimizations’. Meta says “you can automatically optimize video ads for viewing on Reels or the mobile Facebook and Instagram apps with 9:16 ratio”. Now when you upload videos for ads on Meta, it can not only make your video fit into a 9:16 frame, but actually optimize it using AI. The other big news in this announcement is the Advantage Plus Catalog Ads. Submit dynamic videos and demo videos, and Meta AI will automatically pick up these videos and show it to people who are likely to respond to these ads.
