🗞️ News 1: Instagram Threads App Gets New Voice Notes Features & Editing Option

Source: Threads

Instagram CEO announced two features that are coming to the threads platform and one of them is worthy of your attention. The first is the editing option, which allows you to edit your Thread, which is kind of a standard feature now with multiple social media platforms. The second feature is what I wanted to bring to your notice where you can add a voice notes on Threads. Click on a microphone icon that is there in the compose window and start recording your voice. Now, the interesting thing is your voice will be automatically transcribed into a text post as well. And when somebody plays that audio, it will run highlighting the text which is being spoken in the audio. People get to hear your voice and they also get to read what you’re saying. Not just for the main post, but for all the threads that follow. I think this would be a useful type of content for many leaders who have less time to type or to create a video.

🗞️ News 2: Google Rolls Out ‘Demand Gen’ Campaigns to All Google Ads Customers

Source: Google

Google announced that they are rolling out their Demand Gencampaign type to all Google Ads users worldwide. Demand Gen has been a very popular Ad type that they have been testing for a while now. This is an ad type that combines both YouTube and Google. So when you release a campaign, it optimizes your campaign in such a way that you get the best results from both platforms. This campaign assists you right from creation of the ad that is suitable for the platform, to selecting your audience like look a like audiences, and even your bidding process. Everything in this process is highly assisted, so could be useful for your media advertising team. Pass this on to them.

🗞️ News 3: TikTok Partners with Disney Celebrating 100 Years of Walt Disney Co.

Source: TikTok

TikTok announced its partnership with Disney to celebrate 100 years of the Walt Disney Company. In the process, TikTok has managed to bring a ton of Disney’s content to the app. Users on TikTok will be able to “watch videos from across Disney’s brands, create their own videos with Disney music and effects. They will be able to play daily Disney trivia, collect and trade character cards of favorite characters to win unique profile frames to show off their fandom”. All these features are going to be things that TikTok’s younger audience are going to absolutely love because people already love Disney characters. So I think it’s strategically a great partnership by TikTok.

🗞️ News 4: YouTube Launches New Audio Description Options & Preferred Pronouns

Source: YouTube

YouTube has announced that they are bringing multilingual audio to the audio description feature. Audio description is a feature that is helpful for visually impaired people to understand what’s going on with the video. In between the pauses of the video, strategically, these descriptions will appear. Now you can add multilingual audio descriptions for your video. I think it’s a useful feature. This could also help you improve your discoverability, your searchability, and also makes it user-friendly for a wider audience. YouTube also announced that creators in the US will be able to add their preferred pronouns to their creator homepage. If you are in the US, in the coming days, you will see an option to add a pronoun to your channel homepage.

🗞️ News 5: [AI News] Character.AI Launches Group Chat for People & Multiple AIs

Source: TechCrunch

In our AI news, I wanted to bring your attention to a trend. People are spending a lot of time with AI chatbots, getting information, being influenced by the information that AI shares. A new app called Character.ai has come up with a group chat app that allows not only a group of people to chat, but a group of people to chat with the group of AI bots. So basically you can have two or three bots joining the group discussion and you can have an AI chatbot that talks like scientists and thinkers like Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, etc. But you can also have mythological gods like Zeus and Hades joining the conversation. These are real trends that are impacting your ministry audience. My question to you is, can you think of your ministry evolving a chatbot that could participate in these type of conversations based on your ministry content? Something to think about.
