Twitter Says Only Verified Accounts Eligible for Tweet Recommendations

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, announced that starting this week, April 15th only verified accounts with the paid blue tick mark are going to be eligible for getting recommended in the For You recommendation section. So even if you tweet about a particular topic, it is not going to be featured in there commended section, unless you have a paid account. Naturally this attracted a lot of controversy and conversations and discussions on Twitter and outside Twitter. Also it’s good for you to note, and you probably remember, that as of April 1st, Twitter also announced that they are going to remove the blue checkmark that was given to legacy accounts. That is accounts that did not pay for it, but actually got verified on Twitter earlier. They are going to lose that blue check mark. So only paid accounts are going to have a check mark.
