This news item is part of the weekly top 5 news bulletin (from Week 2, Aug 2023) specially packaged for leaders of Nonprofits, Churches, and Faith-based Social Ventures.

YouTube made a big announcement last week about new creative tools that they are bringing to the Shorts platform. The most important of all the six tools being live streaming. They are starting to test vertical live streaming which will appear inside Shorts feed. Now this could be big news for churches and ministries because I know all of you, almost all of you, do live streaming on YouTube. Now your live stream in a vertical format could be inside the Shorts feed, which is the most engaged type of content on YouTube platform right now. It could absolutely explode your reach as a ministry. Definitely pass this news on to your video and your social media team inside your church or ministry. The other tools include a collab feature, which could also be useful for ministries and non profits, stickers, and also suggestion features.
