TikTok partners with Mercedes Benz to bring videos into car screens

TikTok announced that they have partnered with Mercedes Benz to bring TikTok videos into the in-car display of the upcoming 2024 edition of Mercedes E-Class. This announcement came as part of the Mercedes Benz’s event that talked about their new operating system and the technologies that they have added. This is in addition to the existing partnerships they’ve had with YouTube and Google Maps and all of that. But in terms of social media, apart from YouTube no other player has been able to really make inroads into the automobile display space where people can access social media content. Now TikTok is the second big player to do that. So it’s very interesting how they’re moving forward. In fact, Benz has been under criticism for not being very tech friendly when it comes to in-car technology, but now they seem to be working on it. They’re even adding Zoom as one of the apps inside the car display.
