Nope. You don’t have to.

In fact, it is better NOT to be on multiple social media channels when you start out.

Start with one or two channels, and then branch out into the others.

So, how do you know which ones to focus on?

You don’t get to decide that. Your audience will decide that.

You need to look at your audience and study them closely. Note where they spend most of their time in. Note which channels they are comfortable with.

Start focusing on those channels.

Then as you grow, you will have enough time and bandwidth to branch out into multiple channels.

In early stages of social media, focus is the key.

Focus not only helps you reduce stress and overwhelm, it also helps you create content with consistency and good quality.

So less is more. Bigger is not better. Better is what will make your bigger. (No, I did not say this, this from Mike Stelzner’s keynote in #SMMW19 that I attended in March)
