The question we have today reads, “Which is the best social media for me? How do I figure that out?”.
Well, it’s a big question, and it depends on multiple factors. But here is one thing that is a definite indicator of the social media channel that you need to focus on as a nonprofit or ministry: ‘The channel that your audience spends time on’.
That is definitely the channel that you need to be on.
Then you can look at all the other factors like your content, which you’re comfortable with, which is growing, which is popular and which is potential.
There are many other factors. But definitely this is one big factor. ‘The channel which your audience use’.
Because at the end of the day, it’s all about your audience. It’s all about who you want to serve and where they spend their time and which channel they like.
Even if you like or do not like a channel… or you know about that channel, you’re not comfortable or comfortable with that channel, it doesn’t matter. As long as your audience is there, then it becomes the right channel for you.
So pick that channel and learn about it, if you don’t know about it. Invest time in it. Because that’s where your audience is. And try to use that for growing your nonprofit and your ministry.
